A historical overview of Nitator Stainless Steel AB The factory corporation, called ” Nordströms Bleck och Plåtslageri“ was set up in Helsingborg on the 18th October 1920 by Elmer and Nils Nordström and was in its first years of production situated at the address Södra Storgatan 24. Gradually the business grew and the company came to lead the stainless steel production in Sweden. The company changed its name to Nordströms Rostfria AB. In 1972 the company changed its location to where it is situated today. In the autumn of 1996, the company was acquired by the company Nitator i Oskarström AB. Following this acquisition, a parent company Nitator Holding was set up alongside two sister companies, Nitator i Oskarström AB and Nitator Stainless Steel AB. At this present point in time, a further two sister companies have been established in this group. The number of permanent employees comes to about 350.
